Talk Mensa With Me

Interested in the happenings of Metropolitan Washington Mensa? I'll be able to either directly answer your questions regarding the running of the chapter (certainly through Oct. 31, 2011, my last day as LocSec) or forward you to the appropriate person who can do so.

In addition to the above roles, I have undertaken additional leadership roles within AML:
  • In April 2008, I chose to attend the National Hearings Committee hearing being held in Atlanta, GA, with the specific intent of creating an accurate, unbiased account of everything that transpired within the context of the hearing. The unofficial report which I wrote up and disseminated in various fora was widely hailed as highly accurate and without any "spin" in favor of one side or the other - including both the accuser (Dave Remine) and the accused (Barry Levine - no relation), and one of the members of the NHC hearing the case (Marc Lederman). If you are a Mensa member interested in obtaining a copy, please contact me.
  • In July 2008, I presented three bylaws amendments to the membership at the ABM during the '09 AG. One of the three was passed onto the subsequent referendum ballot, and I revamped the other two and circulated them via petition. Those other two amendments received sufficient signatures to get onto the ballot. Of the three bylaws amendments that I wrote and spearheaded, two of them passed and have been implemented.
